Ten Commandments
Well, thank God someone
forced the issue in Alabama and got rid of the
tombstone-like structure which depicted the Ten Commandments from the
Alabama Supreme Court Building.
And how intriguing that the people who should have been most glad to get
rid of the monolith were the very ones protesting its removal, the
people
who call themselves Christians who say they believe the book called
Bible
which says the Ten Commandments are "the law of sin and
death".
I wonder if they realize that it was this set of impossible rules and
regulations known as the Ten Commandments (plus 603 more laws) that
their
God used to continually bring accusation against them. This resulted in
wrath, punishment and death. Despite this record, there are always those
self righteous souls who believe they should and can keep them - at
least
better than the next guy. And surely that is all that really matters! Of
course this simply results in division and hypocrisy which are pretty
much
today's trademarks of the Christian church.(As opposed to lifting up
Christ
as all-sufficient!)
Paul the apostle was the one who coined the term "the law of sin
and
death". Why then would any Bible believing person want to glorify
such an
abomination by putting it anywhere, except perhaps as far away as the
east
is from the west?
